BIOPatrick Dare is an Australian film and theatre actor based in Melbourne (Naarm). Currently unrepresented. Pat first performed on stage at fourteen in the Australian Hip-hop scene in Brisbane. During the Covid-19 pandemic he wrote, produced and acted in a series of comedy skits on youtube. His ability to mimic and exact a wide variety of accents led him to pursue stage acting and audition for the role of NYPD officer Ben Welch in Essendon Theatre Companys production of ‘Rumours’ by Neil Simon. The Victorian Drama League reviewed that Patrick’s performance was in particular “very convincing" and subsequently awarded him for "Best Supporting Actor in a Comedy (Minor Role)" at their 2022 awards night. He then entered the world of independent theatre, taking on multiple roles in VCA graduate Fred Pryce's 2022 Sydney and Melbourne Fringe Festival double-header ‘Alison Goes to Aldi for her Aunt’ and ‘Notes from Moonee Ponds Canal’. Pat has pursued two short courses in Acting at Brave Studios and 16th Street Actors Studio. He has previously worked for Eagle Hawk Theatre Company performing across high schools in Victoria, predominantly in Greek Tragedy; as well as in simulation-based learning involving creating real-world scenarios in order to enable students to apply their knowledge at Universities and learning institutes across Melbourne.
